[Freyburg.com] I'm a big Apple fan, and a die-hard iPod fan, but I think people are giving the Zune short shrift. I'm sure it's a fairly half-baked device, but Microsoft has a history of releasing "meh" software which they work the kinks out of gradually.

[Digg.com] digg - 10 iPod vs. Zune Myths: To add to this, I think the guys with long lasting Ipods either don't ever use them or got lucky as hell. I've owned two Ipods, I'm on my second...the first only lasted two years until the battery went totally to hell, I got it for free from one of those pyramid scheme thingies a while back, so I decided to pay the stupid battery replacement fee (which really should be phased out by now..I mean how much work does it take to make an easily replaceable battery?

While we've heard reports stating the average Zunehead could expect 12 hours of battery life when simply spinning through tunes, and 3.5 hours while watching their favorite YouTube masterpieces, new (unconfirmed) talebearing suggests that users can realize 14 hours of continuous audio playback should they follow a few (rather stringent) rules.
