that russian cassette DJ
[ pieceoplastic.com .:. the revolution will be blogged] while everybody else is going digital, DJing with iPods and laptops, russian DJ Aptem Artyom is reversing the trend by using cassettes. remember cassettes?
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[American Mohawk] Tail Of The Dragon Concluding the first year of...: Harmonic Minor" Came out on 100 cassettes Along with Pasquintino's "Mary Had a Little Scarecrow" And so... with the People And the Ambulances have carried the drunks away. And the DJ was like a Promethean God... name was something Russian And it sounded harsh Just like the Zeros You dealt us with panache
[Negrophonic.com] Mudd Up! - dirt, sound, lit, rupture: So it pisses me off when the NYTimes reports, in the first sentence of their first article on it: French voters dealt a crushing defeat to the European constitution today, demonstrating their determination to punish the leaders of France and of Europe after a bitter campaign that split the country in two. What!? determination to punish...?
[Vidman.ca] Brandon's blog : "Peat Blog": Soon after closing up shop at the Farmer's Market, the Russians began dabbling in all sorts of activities - DJing, event promoting, music production, and so on. Their available resources seemed to increase as well, and suddenly their tapes were of higher quality, with decent j-card artwork not just culled from a cut-up rave flyer, mass-produced tapes instead of home dubs, and they began to bootleg better quality DJ mixes.
[Kinja.com] Kinja, the weblog guide: Last year, I raved about the HeadBlade, a specialized plastic razor that keeps my pate polished. I just tried out the Cadillac of HeadBlades, the S4, and it's a beaut.
