Gadgetism.org > PSP = Portable Suspendable Playstation
[hesthamar.com] During my recent trip to Seoul, South Korea i saw a PSP for the first time in my life, and after about on half minute witht the ting I was sold (or the PSP was sold if you see what I mean). The graphics is somwhere between the PS One ans the PS2, but that is not the piont. What is neat about the device is the good games and playability of them. I dont play that much games, but during the last weeks Ive not played on the Xbox at all. And I only own three PSP games”¦ so go figure. The suspend feature is something I really miss with the Xbox (the xbox should have this feature beeing buildt on vanilla x86 hardware and all), now I can hibernate my gaming session and resume whenever/wherever I want. Really neat

[allgames.com - All Games, Gadgets, and Gear] Blackwolf's Belated Hype-Filled E3 Impressions: What's sad is that there was one game that stood out as looking worse than the rest. Flat textures, looked like a PS2 or Xbox game with really nice framerate. It was a driving game, and I was wondering what the hell it was because it just stood out as being not on par with the other ones. Then the car pulled into the pit, and everyone was wearing Gran Turismo jackets.
[Ian's Smashing Good Blog] My first Wikipedia videogame article | Going to Game Stop later: It also features topics of debate including sex, crime, and violence criticisms and criticisms of other "objectionable" content (see video game controversy), religion, politics, feminism, economics, 9/11, various debates between "old school" and "new school" gaming, debates about voice acting, and the terms "Golden Age" and "Silver Age." Also like the sixth generation it's filled with nostalgia, such as when NES and SNES ROM images became easier to find (see emulation). Many gamers think that SNES games are still most amusing, calling the 16-bit era the "golden age of video gaming." It is also a time when several video games or video game series that were once confined to Japan came to North America, notably Fire Emblem and Nintendo Wars. The enhanced remake idea, which was devised by the Mario franchise (with Super Mario All-Stars) during the 16-bit era and the "anthology collections", were popularized during this era. Most user bannings in computer game related Internet forum have occurred in the sixth generation era, but not stopping in the seventh generation era.
[Nomad Gamer - The Video Game and Personal Tech Weblog] Russ' E3 Impressions Thus Far: But, there are several ways to go about it. The single worst way is requiring new recompiled media (most likely at a cost) to play the old Xbox games. Other than the Halo geeks like myself, who would buy that? You know, the Xbox 360 is probably 3-4 times faster in raw horsepower than the original Xbox (that's just a guess mind you).
[Ssound12.blogspot.com] PSP, Surround Sound, gadgets: So it will not turn on to the radio or your cd player or xbox. The other thing that bugs me with the tv is that when you are in the options menu and you go ahead alot and then press "go back" it just switches the tv to static, kinda weird. Also if you use the notepad funtion it can get annoying having a screen pop up when you turn on the tv. I suggest never to use this function ever!
[Blog.dannyngan.com] Poo-Poo Platter » Blog Archive » PSP Web Browser: Anyone who keeps up to date with the latest and greatest hacks already knows that people have been able to use the PSP as a web browser via the built-in browser in Wipeout Pure. Sure, the viewing experience isn’t super exciting (not much better than a cell phone, really) and typing text is a pain using the PSP’s text entry system, but it is still pretty neat using a gaming handheld to browse the web. I finally gave it a shot today. What else am I going to do when I’m staying home from work today trying to get better (bad stomach thing)?

[Thesims2.ea.com] TheSims2.com - Blogs Listing: Before I tell you about the new Sims information I have to share with you, let me tell you about my celebrity sighting of the day. I was swinging through the crowded hall when to my left I heard a familiar voice. Much to my surprise, I turned to see the classically trained actor, former California gubernatorial candidate and star of “Different Strokes” and “The Surreal Life”, Gary Coleman!
[Home.comcast.net] My Blog (I know, original...): I thought this offline PSP magazine would be pretty lame (it's just a collection of jpegs afterall), but it's pretty well done. If they keep up the quality and maybe add more "pages" to it, it's a fairly painless way to catch up on some PSP news while on the go. Of course with E3 going on, I've been scouring the sites looking for interesting PSP tidbits like crazy so there wasn't a lot in the first edition that I hadn't already read, but the mag does look good, they've picked a decent style. I like the idea of viewing the PSP screenshots right on your PSP screen.
