[world.of.unknown] etc. Allegedly, this is the direction Nokia wants to take as they move their gaming platform to their smartphones. Not sure where they’ve hidden the keypad on this, but for gaming it does look tiny and sweet.

Nokia concept phone: N-Gage 2? - Engadget - www.engadget.com.: At this point, I fully trust Nokia's complete inability to produce a gaming device that can be significantly distinguished from a torture device. Don't let this design worry you, it certainly will never come to fruition and, most likely, whoever put it forward was elected by their manager to be volunteered for suicide.

[Cyrus’ Weblog] 10 days on QD - N-Gage QD Review: First of all the Camera application(do you know why?) and the infrared related stuff from the Nokia 3650 are missing. The mp3 player and radio applications are no more too, for some reason of course. The RealPlayer is renamed to “Video player”, a more descriptive name. There are two new applications: Game Manager(I don’t recall it from N-Gage) and the “N-Gage Arena” software for accessing the N-Gage Arena.

The Nokia 6638 - Engadget - www.engadget.com 11: No one seemed particularly in love with the Nokia 6630 when it was first introduced last year, but for whatever reason Nokia’s bringing it back as the 6638, a CDMA version which will probably end up being available from either Verizon or Sprint (that’s usually how it works). Other features: a 1.2 megapixel digital camera, Bluetooth, and a 176 x 208 pixel, 65,000 color LCD. Runs on Series 60 (natch) and comes with RealPlayer media software pre-installed.

http://www.russellbeattie.com  Russell Beattie Notebook - Home: (In case you're not convinced, I repeated the prediction in April 2004 and again this past March as well). Nokia quoted the 25 million existing Series 60 phones and the potential for an order of magnitude more being sold over the next three years as reasons for the move. It's a no-brainer if you ask me, there's already 1.5 million PSP's out there, and there'll probably be another few million sold by the end of the year, but Nokia will be cranking out that many Series 60 phones in a month - no reason for them not to be N-Gage capable. It'll cost them virtually nothing, and be great for the publishers who signed up for the original N-Gage, and be an attractive feature for future S60 owners as well.

Mobile Games & Gaming Blog: January 2005: Ana Carolina is someone who cell phone companies refer to as the Holy Grail of video gaming. When Carolina, 22, has a few minutes to kill and is not dialing friends or family on her cell phone, she uses it to play video games. "I'll play when I'm waiting for something, like at the doctor's or dentist's office," said Carolina, a student at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
