Nokia E71 Hits Town
[iResource Gadgetry] However, the screen of the Nokia E71, though, is smaller than the E61i, which I have gotten used to. I guess once you have pampered yourself with a large screen and QWERTY, you will not willingly downgrade.

Cisco is going to buy out Nokia?
[Fruitless Labour] :-/ It'd probably be the kiss of death for Nokia's consumer handset division, which is what most people know them for. Cisco are almost certainly more interested in their high-end infrastructure stuff and probably don't care too much about that sort of thing.

My Nokia 6680
[Joi Ito's Web] (My old 7600 worked on the Japanese 3G network too, but it wasn't Symbian and was a bit clunky to use.) Since J-Phone/Vodaphone and NTT DoCoMo have rolled out 3G in Japan and have roaming agreements with carriers like T-Mobile, which I use, I've been hoping that I could get a good phone that would finally allow me to have a single phone number everywhere.

Nokia 770 idea
[Jason Prini .com] I was thinking that the lack of PIM software for the Nokia 770 makes is a non-palm {although with wifi/BT internet you could ust use web services}. But since the device is Linux, one should be able to run a version of apache server, and run your own web apps right off a RS-MMC card. That 800x600 display is what makes it so great. If you’ve tried to view the web on a cell phone or even a palm it’s just not the same as your desktop experience.

Thoughts about Nokia 770
[Cyrus Weblog] we don’t have the best wireless coverage in Turkey but most universities have wifi on campus, we also have Starbucks and Gloria Jeans, Schlotzky’s Deli cafés with wifi coverage, I heard about McDonalds restaurants were implementing wifi and every company on the block I work has wifi. Personally I have access to wifi almost everywhere I go in this city and you don’t think more than 10 million people with frequent access to wifi is NOT adequate for publishing an internet tablet in their own language...

An Off-Road Hand-Held to Bring High-Speed Web Surfing Home
[Lockergnome's Mobile Lifestyle] In a departure from its focus on cellphones, Nokia is aiming for another kind of wireless user. The Nokia 770, which will go on sale this fall for about $350, is a miniature tablet intended primarily for surfing the Web over a Wi-Fi connection. While it uses a chip similar to those found in personal digital assistants, the 8.1-ounce device is not intended for business travelers, and it will not have an address book or a calendar. Instead, it is designed for the casual Web browser, at home or at the nearest cybercafe.
