[GadgetSpy] On my screen was Mario, on the other guy, Wario. Mario moved his mouth to the sound coming through on the other guy’s end, though the model couldn’t differentiate standard voice and surrounding noise…so Mario kept moving his mouth since there was ambient noise in the Nintendo booth. The delay between the two systems was extremely minimal, similar to what you’d get when two people on cellphones are trying to converse with each other. I could see the guy speak to me, and the delay was only a couple of milliseconds due to the compression and data transmission.

[Capstinence - Practicing Daily] E3 (Finally): There was a guy that I met that I’ll be working with at my new job who spent a better portion of each of his days at E3 at the Nintendo DS section, playing his DS with fellow crack addicts. He divulged to me some plan involving downloading games to his DS, and then never turning it off again (apparently whatever these downloads are expire after powering the machine off, much like the communiques in Mission: Impossible). So, yes, there are the groups who know exactly who their people are and spend the majority of their time in sweet, technological love groups, sitting against any wall available and chattering and playing to their hearts’ content. Then there are people like me, who only brought a digital camera and a cellular phone to the show, and who wander around, mouth hanging open, wondering how to choose the best course of action.

Buddy Foote's Blog: This game releashed on the Nintendo DS's releash day was a hit. As like the orginal Super Mario 64 came out on the Nintendo 64 to test the system, this game does the same. It tests both the touch screen and wireless multiplayer. Many mini-games can be unlocked by catching rabbits (picture to the left) with one of the four characters playable, Mario, Luigi, Wario, or Yoshi.

Absurd Genius: The dentist will take a gel of some type, which you see smoking as it heads for your mouth, and place it in one tooth at a time. Regardless of whether you have a tooth problem, this will hurt. The dentist is interested in whether or not it continues hurting for many seconds after application. When the gel was placed on the tooth I was having an issue with, it felt like a small ember from a roaring fire was place in my mouth -- a root canal was in order.

Dan Dickinson: The Primary Vivid Weblog: Words Taken Out Of My Mouth: I was going to write this long post about how ridiculous it is that Nintendo and Konami have teamed up to created Dance Dance Revolution With Mario, and how Nintendo needs to really get away from whoring out their characters.

Buffalo Bandit's Blogtastic Blog: There are two great, but clearly fake, pics of a Portable Nintendo GameCube over at Engaget. And while, someone clearly spent a lot of time making it look slick, it's most definitely an old-school walkman that has been photoshopped into a game system. However, that is not what is important.
