[Real Tech News - Independent Tech] Vending machines have gotten very sophisticated outside the US. You can rent DVDs, buy real cartons of milk and other groceries, and even pick up a PSP or an iPod Mini while you wait for your connecting flight. Thanks to a company called Zoom Systems, we’ll be getting the same upgrade in vending - moving from gum and candy to iPods, cell phones and all sorts of great gadgetry. Zoom machines are already in use in Atlanta and San Francisco.

[Leoville.com] The Laporte Report: I couldn’t help but wonder how many non-tech-savvy folks would buy an Ipod, expecting to be listening to music on their flights or vacations, having no idea about burning or transferring music from a PC. I know I should have more faith in people, but I have a relative who insists he needs a digital camera, yet doesn’t have a computer, or understand the concept of data storage.
