HTC Universal due 3rd quarter 2005
[~Tech Angel~] It was announced at the HTC shareholder's meeting that the HTC Universal would start shipping at the end of the 3rd quarter 2005. "HTC plans to launch one or two 3G mobile phones in 2005, but will increase the number of 3G handset models in 2006, Cho said. Cho also predicted that HTCs handset shipments are likely to increase 30% on-year, to about 4.85 million units in 2005, up from 3.73 million units in 2004."

As PIN1 is the primary means of access to a handset, blocking PIN1 will block the entire handset until PUK1 is entered.
