[.genericide.] First and Only Impression: Because people want the record. The marginal loss of sales to downloading”already disproven by one study”would not even kick in for in-demand artists, because the fans and curious tourists will want the CD no matter what's on the web .
[Blogs.msdn.com] Jeff Abraham's WebLog :: Another new feature for Beta 2 is code signing, the ability to sign a binary with a certificate so that it can run on locked down devices (for more information, see http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnppcgen/html/smartphone_security.asp). Previously, you would have had to add a custom build step to take advantage of this, which somewhat defeats the purpose of an integrated development environment. There is a bug at the moment that if you change the code signing options, you need to ensure that the binary is re-linked (either through doing a rebuild, or some other change) in order for the binary to be signed again. I'm working on fixing this, but it definitely won't be fixed for Beta 2.
[Blog.treonauts.com] Treonauts | Dedicated to your Treo 650 & 600. The Perfect All-In ...: First of all it must be noted that the Treo 650 is not just a 'minor' upgrade to the Treo 600 but a completely new redesigned smart phone that happens to share its sibling's winning form factor but very little else - there are so many new features and improvements that it is simply unfair to say that palmOne did not deliver purely because of the issue of the memory and the camera. On the other hand palmOne could have avoided a lot of grief by increasing the first and fully upgrading the second...
[Intuitive.com] "Curious what spam looks like? Read mine!" from The Intuitive Life ...: Depressingly, even shunting off my spam into a separate mailbox was still insufficient to meet my needs, yet I cannot just blindly trust SpamAssassin to do what I want: "false positives" still get through occasionally, legit email from friends or colleagues that are classified as spam for one reason or another. So I added a second type of filtering within the showspam program, and that's what you can turn on and off with the "filter message list" option. On a typical mailbox, it'll shield 60-75% of the junk there, allowing me to glance through, say, 30 message subjects to verify that nothing in a 110 message spam mailbox is legitimate.
