[Extremetech.com] Epson Livingstation LS57P2--Review by ExtremeTech: A display-company executive recently joked, "If you have a checkbook and a plane-ticket to China, you can be in the HDTV business." Given the huge number of companies that have jumped into the fray, there's some truth in the joke. As the HDTV market becomes increasingly crowded, it's getting harder for HDTV makers to make their products stand apart from the crowd. Epson has entered the HDTV market with a 57-inch rear projection television, and in an effort to differentiate itself, has brought along what it already does well—color printers. It has also brought to market one of the first HDTVs to use the new 3LCD display engine, a three-chip implementation that does away with the color-wheel used in single chip RPTVs.
