[bayraider] Or is that just us? If you bought your iPod before 31st May 2004, help may be at hand according to this story on BBC News, which says that Apple plans to extend warranties and hand out vouchers to people whose iPods' battery-life has deteroriated. But there are other options online, such as the plethora of emergency iPod chargers that give you a 20% charge using a single 9V battery. [Sony PSP News, Reviews, Accessories, Games, and Cheats at PSPworld] PSP 101: Everything you need to know about the PlayStation Portable: You can get a good converter at downloads.com-I'd recommend Power MP3 WMA Converter: it makes it easy to convert the files. Then, all you need to do it plug in your PSP, go to the options pulldown on the left (in your PSP), and choose USB connect (it's the 2nd one down). Your computer should come up with something about a new utility or new files; open the files in a folder, then drag the MP3 files into the folder marked MUSIC. If you don't have any folders on your PSP, create a new one named "PSP", then inside that create one called "MUSIC" I don't think it has to be in all caps, but the music files have to be in that specially named folder to be read.

http://www.playerblog.com [Playerblog.com] Player Blog: Upgrade Your iPod Battery: Before the release of the 4th generation iPod, battery life on Apple's runaway hit audio player was, in a word, dismal. Just about every competitor beat the iPod on battery life, but those iPods just kept on selling. So if you're one of the folks who still have one of the older (1G, 2G or 3G) iPods and are disappointed in run time, there are some replacement batteries that would give you significantly better battery life.

[Tongfamily.com] Tong Family Blog: iPod Competitor: the iRiver iGP 100: I considered other MP3, HD music players and finally bought a 40G Ipod refurb from Apple. Seriously considered iRiver but the reviews regarding software and hardware were serious negatives even though the iRiver was less expensive. I have not found the Windows Media Player very intuitive to use (although I am in the software industry, a Windows fanatic and MS Certified Developer company) as I run into the digital rights restrictions although I have rights to the music that I ripped.

Boards.bootsnall.com[Boards.bootsnall.com] I-Pod/Mp3 Player - Topic BootsnAll Travel Network: Apple makes a great mp3 player and it has a bazillion accessories for listening to it in the car, but the truth is a tape adapter is a tape adapter is a tape adapter, any will work. Also available are portable FM broadcasting units that stick on your iPod making it possible to tune in on the radio to listen to your mp3 player. These don't come cheap though. The iRiver HXX series of mp3 players have a much higher quality in sound but don't come with the award winning software that Apple does, and you won't be able to play songs purchased with iTunes Music Store on it.
