[Oceanside, Nevada :: Main Page] Backwards compatibility is huge. The iPod and PSP hookup I had heard rumored but doubted. I look forward to more information as far as just how much integration we're talking about here, I mean, can we expect to see an iTunes for XBox or are we looking at some sort of Real-style hack? Final Fantasy coming to XBox was probably the biggest surprise for me.

[Siu Fung's Extra Really Unneeded Why-Not Space] Sure, It Looks Nice But... What Does It Do?: And innovation? All I saw were a bunch of demos of nicer looking Half-Lives, Dynasty Warriors, Gran Turismos, Punch-Outs, and did I mention Dynasty Warriors? IMO, the only interesting game presented was Eyedentify, which uses speech recognition to control gameplay. It doesn't look as nice as the other demos, but it's sure more interesting in terms of concept.

[Shufflehacks.blogspot.com] shufflehacks: TUAW posted: "Youll have to have a fairly recent installation of Python running on OS X for it to work, but if you have wished that you could simply drag your MP3s over to your iPod shuffle without having to launch iTunes, then iPod shuffle Database Builder is for you. An added benefit of using this tool is that it enables you to use the iPod shuffle on as many computers as you like without having to pair it again and again to a new iTunes Music Library. Even better, the program is only 8k and will work on any OS with Python installed, so theres no reason not to put a copy on the iPod shuffle itself."
[Hackaday.com] hack a day - www.hackaday.com _: Yeah, I didn’t really jump out my seat when I heard that in January, but then I started to see people apply it. Sure there’s the standard “remove all advertising” hacks and the slightly more interesting “skip full ad pages”, but there is so much more you can do. You can beat stupidly designed web pages into submission: force Ain’t It Cool News headlines to use reasonable font sizes and turn off that stupid highlighting crap, clean up Slashdot’s ugly section colors, replace Pitchfork’s flash menu with text links. Greasemonkey can do so much more though.
[Hackaday.com] change the text on your ipod - hack a day - www.hackaday.com _: i mean, from a consumer standpoint, i just got my ipod, and i am lovin these little hacks. currently there are only a few un altered graphics on my ipod and i have imported a new font. it may be 'novel' but thats the point, out of every one who has them, very few know how to do this (although it may seem like every one and there mother does this to you because you frequent these sites allow, in fact hardly any one knows this). it is a form of security and personality for my ipod, i love it.
[Engadget.com] Engadget - www.engadget.com: Just as with the whole DVD format war, we’ve got a Sharks and Jets thang going on with two opposed camps: TGn Sync (Task Group ‘n’ synchronisation — unfortunately, not a boy band) is comprised of biggies Intel, Samsung, Sony, Nortel, Qualcomm, Philips, Panasonic and Atheros Communications lives across the lake from the WWiSE group made up of Broadcom, Airgo Networks, Motorola, Nokia, Texas Instruments, NTT and France Telecom. In the most recent round of talks in Cairns, Australia, the TGn Sync camp got up and did their number and subsequently fell 26 percent short of the 75 percent approval they need to get adoption for their plan. This is the second time the 802.11n task group has voted down a proposal, so now all eyes will be on the strongest alternative proposal to be put forth by the WWiSE camp. The WWiSE proposal is quite a bit less complex than the recent TGn Sync proposal, which they argue will keep the cost of implementation down.
