[Technology News, Etc.] iAudio A2: Cowon always makes quality products, and this one (the best PMP I have seen to date) is no exception. Here are the specs: a 4-inch widescreen TFT, 60GB, USB On The Go (for transferring photos from cameras), a TV-input port (for recording), and of course a bunch of video, audio, and image formats including WMV, DivX, Xvid, WMA, AC3, MP3, OGG, G.726(?), WAV, JPG, GIF, and BMP. The only thing I'd be concerned about is battery life.

[Engadget - www.engadget.com] Cowon's iAudio X5 media player make a rare appearance: In the grand Engadget tradition of obsessing over (Cowon’s) next moves, we’ve been foaming at the mouth over the forthcoming eventually maybe some day soon we’re not telling when iAudio M5, and it’s multimedia-centric older sister, the X5. And wouldn’t you know it, they’ve been showing the X5 around town right behind our backs. What can we expect? Not too much different from before (no official word on the video codec support, but the A2 will support DivX, Xvid, and WMV) but we can expect sizes ranging from 20 to 60GB, and that sweet 1.8-inch 240k color 160 x 128 screen.

And hot damn if we’re not super into their new A2, which looks like it could be the PMP that gets it all right; right screen size (4-inch 16:9 aspect ratio color TFT), right capacities (20/30/60GB), right formats (WMV, DivX, Xvid, WMA, AC3, MP3, OGG, G.726, WAV, JPG, GIF, BMP), and right connectivity (USB 2.0 On-The-Go and TV-input/recording). No word on when it’s due, but you bet we’re on this one like nobody’s biz.

 [I4u.com] I4U News - CeBIT: Cowon iAudio X5, M5 and A2: The Cowon A2 PMP (photo below) features a 4" 16:9 screen, OTG, TV Recording, WMA, DivX, Xvid, MP3, OGG, USB 2.0 and stereo speakers. The A2 can come in 20GB, 30GB and 60GB HDD configurations.
