Most of the servers I adminster do not run X, so if I am not ssh’ed in remotely (or even if I am) lynx provides me the capability to look information up or download software without having to move to a machine running a graphical client.

Its quite neat how that all their gear essentialy uses the same charger, so only one is needed when traveling, and I supose you could then even cut that down to a car or usb charger (I dont think I go anywhere for long without my laptop).
