[Geek.com] The S100 offers a number of upgrades from the S95, making for a more substantial change than that seen in the previous update. New features include: a 12.1MP sensor (instead of 10MP), Canon’s first DIGIC V image processor, 5x optical zoom (instead of 3.8x), better burst shooting (up to 8 fps), and built-in GPS.
