New toys - USB Skype phone
[ | Office Evolution | ZDNet.com] I've been testing an evaluation unit of the SkyTone USB Phone (RST102) from Radian Technologies, a conventional looking telephony handset with a USB cord designed to be used with Skype. It works very well and, based on feedback from dozens of people I spoke to using it, the sound quality is somewhere between "sounds just fine"

my purse debacle.
[blog.dahanese.com] it didnt work (we are RMAing the mobo, because we think thats the culprit.) because it was 11.30 at night when we tried to troubleshoot the rig, i decided to invite dad over on thursday to take a second look at the machine and make sure im not a moron and didnt, you know, forget to plug something in. pam came, and so instead of getting pizza we went to the nice restaurant down the block.

Nokia Phone Firmware Updater
[atmaspheric | endeavors] MobileCrunch reports on the release of Nokia’s Firmware updater which is excellent news - though there’s no Mac support currently and there only seems to be one phone that accepts the update OTA - at least for now. Let’s hope this service gets enhanced quickly.

Airbus files patent for jetlag zapper
[Engadget] the thought that this could potentially interfere with the pilot's ability to fly the plane crossed the minds of the researchers over at Airbus? Especially considering the common "please turn off your cellphones" announcement that pilots make at the beginning of every flight (FYI, cellphones emit electromagnetic fields).

Woman Gets RIAA to Dismiss Filesharing Charges
[KamikazeLabs] Tammy Marson was given a $3500 settlement option to prevent charges of sharing, and refused to pay. Her argument is that the best the RIAA can prove is that her account was used to share music, and that there was no way of proving it was her.
